Stevie Wonder – Creepin’ – When I was a kid growin’ up in New York I lost my older brother Richard. He was a big Stevie fan and this was on an album that he had just purchased. For some reason this tune really resonated with me and always reminds me of my bro. The power of music………it’s a perfect combo of lyric and vocal which glides effortlessly over one helluva haunting arrangement from the brilliant Stevie Wonder. And if that wasn’t enough, he has a little help from the oh so talented Minnie Ripperton on background vox. What! This is an amazing, (dare I say perfect) song that brings back some vivid memories of a time and place in my life when I grew up in The Big Apple. Respect.
