At risk of sounding overly grandiose and pleased with ourselves, I remember stumbling across a documentary about the Taj Mahal.  (Please bear with me as it was a few years back, but I desperately don’t want to misquote the information here!)  Upon completion of the Taj Mahal, a dignatory of some sort turned to the creator and gasped at it’s beauty “It’s beautiful, it’s perfect”, to which he replied “it’s near-perfect, as perfection is owed unto God alone”.  I thought at the time that this was beautifully worded poetry in motion and a sentiment I wholly subscribe to, one which has formed the basis of the site’s feature (My Near Perfect Track).  And judging by the response of NPT submissions on a daily basis, it seems to have struck a chord – if you have the time, please check out some of the heartfelt and often very personal contributions so far……and let us hear yours!

MIXTAPES & LIVE SESSIONS

YoyoBLOG possesses one of the largest collection of classic mixtapes and live sessions of our favourite genres – we are uploading on a daily basis, and once we pass the 200 mark, most will become downloadable.  (NB some of the live sessions may be of low quality.  But we must remember some of these are rare copies of copies.  So let’s just enjoy the moment and sense of occasion that is a classic session)

If you have a favourite mixtape which we don’t yet have on site, please suggest it to us and we’ll get it posted asap.
